Multipurpose Hive Lid or Base

• A Migratory style lid with an entrance.
• Can be used as a base.
• The entrance is able to be reduced in width.
• Good insulation.
• Can be used on a Long Hive.

Purpose

• To reduce the number of different equipment required for a bee hive.
• To have a top entrance.
• To be able to use the lid as a base.

Inside the top of the hive is a Hive Mat. This is like an inner cover. It is simply a sheet of flooring vinyl cut to size to allow a gap around the outside. The bees do not build comb above it unless they run out of room below.
